Alternate tite:

Let’s take care of our hearing Recommendations for video games

Description:

Lions Club members attended a videoconference centered around the World Health Organization’s newly launched recommendations concerning video gaming and its impact on hearing health—a timely and significant topic considering the growing popularity of gaming across all age groups.
An ENT Specialist provided an overview of WHO’s latest evidence-based guidelines, which are part of a broader initiative to prevent hearing loss and promote safe listening practices globally.
Key points covered during the session included: volume awareness, parental involvement to set limits and encouraging breaks to prevent hearing fatigue and the technology solutions that developers and console manufacturers can integrate for real-time sound level monitoring for safe listening.
The session was reproduced in other Lions Clubs in the Central American region.
