In response to the increasing global burden of preventable hearing loss and in recognition of World Hearing Day, the Panamerican Association of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery launched an awareness campaign focused on the dissemination of key preventive strategies to preserve ear and hearing health. The initiative aligns with the World Health Organization’s theme: “Changing Mindsets: Let’s Make Ear and Hearing Care a Reality for All.”
The social media campaign aimed to:educate the general public on common risk factors for hearing loss, promote safe listening behaviors, especially among youth and encourage early detection and timely management of hearing-related disorders.
