Celebration of World Hearing Day 2025 at the Speciality Surgical Center Benghazi
alongside the celebrations of making the goal of WHO on the ground by cochlear implant team at the Speciality Surgical Center by making early detection and early intervention is real . As part of the event, a scientific day was organized under the theme: Changing mindsets: empower yourself to make ear and hearing care a reality for all and inter-professionals teamwork in Cochlear Implant program .”
The event was attended by faculty members of University of Benghazi , Media personnel, cochlear implant recipients with their families, doctors, nurses, policymaker, puplic , ministry of health and ministry of education .
Additionally, the event celebrated the end of the rehabilitation program for a group of children who underwent cochlear implants.
The scientific day was organized in collaboration with University of Benghazi and Alsabri polyclinic

Impactful Story:
A 60-year-old musician, who had been struggling with hearing loss for over 30 years and battling depression, faced significant challenges throughout his journey. Despite these hardships, he remained determined to find a solution. Two years ago, after experiencing limited success with hearing aids, he underwent a cochlear implant procedure. Today, he enjoys life to the fullest, actively participates in events, and inspires others by sharing his story with audiences.
