The IV International Congress of Audiology was held on the 21st and 22nd of March, in Oporto, Portugal, with over 170 participants.
During this event, a set relevant topics was explored such as auditory rehabilitation, electrophysiology, vestibular diagnosis and rehabilitation, ethics and deontology, auditory processing, tinnitus, primary care and research. Following WHO’s recommendations for early identification and access to timely rehabilitation, these topics were discussed in depth, as well as approaches to promoting literacy and primary audiological care intervention, showcasing a specific presentation on the Make Listening Safe Initiative and Workgroup
This congress played a critical role in sharing knowledge amongst national and international audiology peers, whose ultimate common goal is to improve the audiological health of the population.
