On World Hearing Day 2024, Satkriti Hospital marked the occasion under the theme “Changing Mindset towards Deaf Soul.” Our celebration included a camp where over 100 patients were provided with free consultations and talk on Deafness prevention, and role of early intervention alongside a social media campaign for deafness awareness. Highlighting the day, we launched “Silent Epidemic: Unveiling the Burden of Deafness in India,” a book aimed at raising awareness on deafness, which has since become an Amazon #1 Bestseller. Free distribution of the book continues, reaching the general public and authorities to shift perceptions and increase awareness about deafness.
