The University Medical Center at the Libyan International Medical University (LIMU) in Benghazi, Libya held an awareness event on World Hearing Day 2024 in cooperation with a faculty member from University of Benghazi, an ENT doctor from Al-Sabri Polyclinic, an ENT doctor from the Center for Specialty Surgeries, and a cochlear implant user IT student from LIMU. There were four presentations on changing mindsets about ear and hearing care, age-related hearing loss, conductive hearing loss and assistive listening devices. There were interactions on noise-induced hearing loss and hearing screening among attendees including healthcare providers, nurses and workers. Social media live streaming viewed by +1500 people.
