World Hearing Day was celebrated at the Otolaryngology Department of West China Hospital with a diverse array of activities aimed at raising awareness and promoting ear health. The hospital organized clinics for rare ear diseases, interactive workshops for children to learn about ear anatomy and function, educational sessions for parents on ear care, and free hearing screenings for the elderly. Additionally, there were academic symposiums on recent advancements in ear care and hearing loss prevention. To further reach a wider audience, the hospital also conducted online science live streams, multidisciplinary clinics, and training sessions on hearing screening techniques. Furthermore, public science videos and radio programs were released to disseminate valuable information about ear health. Lastly, the hospital provided cochlear implant adjustments, university-level hearing education, and seminars on hearing rehabilitation for those with hearing impairments.
