The ENT department, Sri Venkateswara Medical college, Tirupati celebrated World Hearing Day from 3rd March to 10th March,2024 as a week long campaign. We have used the promotional materials handy at all levels of campaign .We conducted screening programmes in adolescents, adults and old people using otoscope and pure tone audiometer. In addition, we conducted a rally with 40 people , mainly health personnel holding display boards, banners, keeping the World hearing day 2024 Theme ” Changing Mindsets” and the public was reiterated the importance of the theme. We conducted “Walkathon” on the roads of Tirupati, wearing caps and T-shirts with WHO slogans printed on them. The promotional materials in local language TELUGU were displayed in public places and the videos showing the importance of Ear care, myths about using hearing aids etc. The event was concluded with an exhibition showcasing the WHO promotional materials in the form of charts.
