Health Right: Integrated Eye and Ear Health Program

Nearly 4500 people benefited from 30 comprehensive ear camp organized between February 17 and March 16, 2024, led by NNJS in partnership and financial support from CBM, BMZ and Australian aid.

Among 4500 individuals, about 40% received immediate treatment, medications, wax, and foreign body removal and referral services to alleviate their hearing impairments. Flyer was distributed for Ear health awareness. 174 Poor people experiencing hearing loss were provided with hearing aid free of cost. 75 individuals with major ear problems were referred for further treatment.

Hearing assessments, audiometry test for adults and otoacoustic examination (OAE) test for children (0-4 years), tympanometry, otoscopy, and clinical judgement for diagnose of possible ear morbidities was conducted by the consultant ENT surgeon and audiometric Technician.

In conclusion, such events served as a testament to collective efforts of organizations like NNJS and CBMG in promoting hearing health awareness and providing services to communities in need.
