On Friday and Saturday, March 1st – 2nd, 2024, a charity program, Hearing Screening and Ear Cleaning, was held at the subdistrict office of Bendul Merisi, Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia to celebrate World Hearing Day 2024. On the first day, the examination focused on the elder group. Siska Citra Amalia, ORL-HNS specialist, and many residents were participated in this event such as giving information about ear caring and ear cleaning. After the examination, participants underwent an Otoacoustic Emission (OAE) conducted by Abdi Hearing Centre. The results were explained by the ORL-HNS specialist, ensuring holistic treatment for the participants. On the second day, Yudhistira, an ORL-HNS specialist, provided information to parents on how to take care of earwax. The citizens of Bendul Merisi subdistrict actively participated and posed many questions about their concerns. Additionally, the children received ear cleaning performed by doctors and underwent OAE testing conducted by Nobel Hearing Centre.
