Hearing plays a vital role in our lives, essential for navigating a competitive world. Despite its significance, hearing loss can sneak up on anyone at any time, often unnoticed. While we may overlook its importance, our auditory function is a delicate and crucial aspect of our well-being. Sometimes, hearing loss occurs with age or due to various factors, but it can also affect newborns, with 1 in 5 experiencing hearing impairment. To mark World Hearing Day, our Swarsangya charitable trust has launched the Early Detection & Intervention Initiative. Since January 1st, 2024, to March 3rd, 2024, we’ve screened 281 infants as part of this initiative.
