The College of Speech Language and Hearing Sciences, in collaboration with SHAP (Speech and Hearing Association of Pakistan), organized a fundraiser to support patients with hearing impairment and raise awareness for World Hearing Month. They hosted a seminar on hearing aid programming and dispensing, highlighting the role of speech therapists. Mr. Mohsin Malik shared expertise on hearing aid programming and the latest AI technology enhancing the hearing aid experience. Ms. Zahra Ibrahim and Ms. Anusha discussed early detection and intervention of hearing loss on ZU FM 98.2, emphasizing speech therapy’s importance. Another radio show on FM 105, by Ziauddin Hospital, featured Ms. Rabika Amanullah discussing ear care and yearly hearing screenings. Additionally, a hearing camp for senior citizens was conducted at Agha Khan Welfare board. These efforts aimed to educate, raise awareness, and provide support for individuals with hearing needs.
