Sensitization of communities on hearing loss with the Theme of mind set change as many young children, Adults and youths are struggling in the community with little or no knowledge about early interventions. During our community sensitization activities in Luwero central Uganda we worked hand in hand with Village Health Teams (VHTs) representative’s, they played a great role in mobilization and identifying those with hearing loss. Parents were advised to ensure that children with hearing loss are not hidden at home but given a chance to acquire education. However majority expressed concern of expensive hearing aids and called upon well wishers to assist them with hearing aids so that their children can stay in schools. Even adults with hearing loss shared similar challenges with difficulty to get ear assessment as nearby Health centers lack Ear care services
