□Announcement was made at the community public address system at Trede and Pakyi, inviting all and sundry, two months to the program, a few weeks and then a day to the program.
□Three trained nurses assisted me (female presenter in yellow holding an otoscope) to do the hearing sreening.In all,132 participants mostly mothers and children attended the WHD program at the forecourt of All Ears Hearing Center.
□Participants were educated on healthy ear care practices and on the theme of the day, “Changing Mindsets”, aimed at eradicating the stigma associated with hearing loss.
□The presentation started at 7.00am and ended at 8.00am, question and answer session was from 8.05am to 9.00am. Otoscopy and hearing screening continued from 9.00am to 1.00pm, refreshment followed to about 2.15pm. Closing prayer was said and participants left to their various destinations.
