The Gibraltar Hearing Issues & Tinnitus Association organises Gibraltar’s Hearingloss Awareness Week to coincide with World Hearing Day. The week kicked off with our famous Moorish Castle being illuminated in silver and gold hues. Throughout the week, daily informative content was distributed on social media platforms. A Deaf and Hearing Aid Care awareness talk was given to Gibraltar University Nursing Students and on the Friday before World Hearing Day, an awareness booth was set up, receiving support from Gibraltar Parliament MPs and the Gibraltar Mayor too. The media widely reported on the week’s activities and key messages, including a featured interview to GHITA Chairperson Edgar Triay GA on national television and radio.
