During World Hearing Day, The Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (AG Bell) engaged the global community through a series of impactful activities. Highlighting the day was the launch of a special edition of Volta Voices Magazine, which celebrated the diverse experiences of individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing from around the world. This edition was sent to over 25000 people in over 52 countries and provided a platform for voices often unheard. Complementing this was a powerful social media campaign that featured a video with teens sharing their personal journeys with hearing loss. The video quickly captivated a wide audience, and played a crucial role in spreading awareness and understanding. These initiatives reflect AG Bell’s ongoing commitment to amplifying the voices of the deaf and hard of hearing community, ensuring they are heard far and wide.
