The Department of ENT of Hospital Santo Tomas hosted a forum at the outpatient clinic open to patients , administrative and healthcare personnel to discuss the most frequent causes of hearing loss, how to avoid them and the red flags to take care of. A section was devoted to the importance of noise as an avoidable cause of HL . During the event two devices to measure noise were received as a donation and will be installed one at the outpatient clinic and another one at different settings considerd noisy as the ICU , operating rooms and air conditioning room to promote noise awareness and noise reduction. Finally a member of the National Disability Council presented the benefits that a person with hearing disability is entitled by law.
