World Hearing Day (WHD) 2024 was celebrated in Ghana by most of the major agencies of the Ministry of Health, that is Ghana Health Service (GHS), Teaching Hospitals and University Hospitals. This is the second national celebration organized by ENT unit of Institutional Care Division (ICD) under GHS. This years WHD was well publicized and represented by all stakeholders and policy makers across most institutions and organized bodies.
Sponsorship from few Pharmaceutical companies helped us to secure for Medical and Dental Council CPDs, print out banners, pull-up, posters, stickers, and soft copy media messages. The program done from 26th February to 1st March 2024. Activities carried out across the country include Screening in the hospitals, community and schools, Health talk on radio and TV stations, scientific sessions online was also done in collaboration with MOH and a webinar by Speech Therapy and Audiology Association of Ghana (STAAG)
