The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) highlighted World Hearing Day in an editorial in the NIOSH monthly eNews “Listening safely for 2022 World Hearing Day” by Dr. John Howard, Director, which was read by 8399 individuals; posts on NIOSH social media platforms had 5030 impressions between Facebook and Twitter, and updates to the Wikipedia articles WHD and Safe Listening which increased views. NIOSH and partners also presented the 2022 Safe-in-Sound Award for innovation to a group who manages sound exposure risk for those who work at or attend live concerts.
