Event Description:
Organized free hearing screening throughout the month of March. Reached over 22000 people through social media: video and educational post on hearing care and safe listening. All the materials were translated to Khmer language.
Organized a webinar titled “An Update on Management of Hearing Loss”, targeting local ENT doctors, audiologists, health care professionals and medical students. Invited a speaker, Professor Emeritus Dato’ Dr. Lokman Saim, a renowned ENT surgeon from Malaysia to share his expertise with local professionals.

I hope special grant on sponsoring hearing aids will be available. For third world country like Cambodia, reaching the policy makers on safe listening is still too early. Sponsoring hearing aids (a good quality one) would be much more meaningful since I’ve met a few patients that could not afford hearing aids. They did received hearing aids from the NGOs, but they didn’t like the sound quality and ends up didn’t wear them.
