Event Description:

Within the community, our initiatives consisted of hearing protection educational programming and ear screenings in a total of six local schools, a free drop-in clinic held at our organization, and two mobile camps for generalized population screening and treatment for hearing related issues across rural island areas. The seven days of programming culminated in an admission free public festival to celebrate hearing awareness and care that engaged families from local communities all around Zanzibar with a record breaking 1,898 attendees: the largest of any event held by the ZOP NGO.
