Event Description:

To raise awareness of hearing loss in the country, The Pan American Health Organization’s Bahamas Country Office and the World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO), the Ministry of Health and Wellness, and the University of The Bahamas hosted a World Hearing Day Webinar. Participants learned more about the risks and protective factors, signs, prevention, and treatment of hearing loss.
The link to the WHO hearing app was shared as part of the communication materials with the general public.
