World Hearing Day Community Outreach

The World Hearing Day Community Outreach initiative successfully kicked off on 3rd March with an awareness session at the local church of 250 people in Namavundu, garnering support from Reverend Kabanda. Following this, ten engaging awareness sessions were conducted within Gayaza, Namavundu community, reaching 700 individuals including community members, policymarkers, students, and teachers. These sessions disseminated crucial information on ear and hearing care, emphasizing the importance of seeking professional services. We also facilitated specialized sessions with 50 healthcare professionals to enhance their understanding of hearing-related needs. Provided access to ear screening services, ensuring early detection and intervention for attendees, 8 persons were referred proper and further management . Posters and brochures were distributed, serving as educational resources beyond the event.
