The “World Hearing Day 2024 Symposium: Amplifying Voices for Inclusivity and Togetherness” project, hosted by the ORANGEPATH EMPOWERMENT FOUNDATION at the University of Calabar, aimed to promote healthy hearing practices and inclusivity. Through engaging discussions, ear testing, and sign language interpretation services, the symposium emphasized the importance of inclusive practices in fostering community togetherness. Keynote speakers utilized materials from the World Health Organization, and distinguished guests included the Commissioner of Health, Commissioner of Education, members of the Cross River State’s House of Representatives, and deans of UNICAL’s faculties. The project aimed to empower participants to advocate for inclusivity and amplify voices, ultimately working towards a more inclusive and accessible world for all.
