KOMDA PGPKT SUMATERA SELATAN and PERHATI-KL SUMSELBABEL were conducted a symposium and course about management ear and hearing disorder for general practitioners in 42 primary health care services in Palembang, Indonesia. This event were held on Thursday, March 7th, 2004, and it takes place in Siti Khadijah Hospital in Palembang. About 90 doctors were participated in this event. This event consist of two major event, a symposium and short course. About 10 otorhinolaryngologist were participated in this event as speakers and course instructors. We provided otorhinolaryngologists as an expert to practice and perform some management of ear problems such as cerumen impaction irrigation and removal of ear foreign body. We hope this event could increasing doctors performance in treating ear and hearing disorder at primary health care services in Palembang, South Sumatra, Indonesia. We thank to WHO for providing such a great material about ear and hearing.
