This World Hearing Day (WHD) 2024 event targeted the inner city which caters to the lower economy income population. It was conducted by a team consisting of medical professionals from the Otology unit of HCTM including allied medical professionals. The event included a panel discussion of experts on ear/ hearing health, booth exhibitions and information posters/ videos. We conducted over 100 ear examinations/ hearing screenings and provided medical treatment for ear infections. 2 preliminary studies involving mothers and the elderly with imbalance were conducted. The target audience and will be followed up as part of the study. We hope to be able to produce data from the study to improve our service and knowledge.
