Hearing Diversity in Mexico 2024 Forum

This is our official first year as a Civil Association in observing the World Hearing Day, through a Forum Day named “Hearing Diversity in Mexico 2024”, which took place in the Mexican Chamber of Deputies on March 04th, 2024. The Forum was addressed to General Public, Healthcare Workers, Policy Makers, Hard of hearing people. The main objective covered was retaking health and hearing accessibility issues and initiatives in Mexico making the hearing loss (and HoH identity) visible within the framework of the International Hearing Day. We also commemorated the World Hearing Day, in the same day on March 3rd, with an interview/report on channel “Once” (a Mexican public television network) through the program “80 millions”, where they talked about the Association of the Mexican Community of Hipoacusyqué A.C., the Hard of Hearing community, the hearing technology requirements and about the World Hearing Day’s 2024 theme “A Change of Mindset”.
