To commemorate World Hearing Day 2024, Wijaya Kusuma Lumajang Hospital conducted counselling activities aimed at increasing public understanding of deafness.
The counselling was conducted at the Car Free Day (CFD) in Lumajang City Square. The counselling focused on the community’s attention to the threat of deafness. The threat of deafness that is directly related to the community is related to their daily habits or work. Some of these things include the use of earphones with excessive volume and time, work with the risk of exposure to high and loud sounds (welders, workshops, factory workers, etc.), the use of home sound / celebration with loud volume, the use of ototoxic drugs, etc.
This activity was able to attract the attention of people who were doing sports and activities at CFD, considering that the material presented was new knowledge for people in Lumajang City.
