YouTube live to celebrate World Hearing Day / A symposium on early diagnosis and rehabilitation for newborns and infants with hearing loss

1. The Korean Audiological Society promoted an awareness campaign on the ear and hearing care that calls for action to address hearing loss through the largest YouTube medical channel “@aftertherainkr” in South Korea. There were 2,400 participants in the event. The activities have also been promoted on social media.
2. The World Hearing Day promotional materials in Korean were distributed to all of the university hospitals, ENT clinics, and society members in print or email.
3. A symposium on early diagnosis and rehabilitation for newborns and infants with hearing loss was held. The program of the symposium included policy discussions related to hearing loss patients, public presentations of the experience of overcoming hearing loss, and instrumental performances by hearing-impaired students.
