Community Mobilisation on Ear and Hearing Care in Mgami DHMT Botswana

Ministry of Health Botswana conducted Community Mobilization activities on ear and hearing care in the Ngami health district. Various services were provided at clinics from 26th February 2024 to 10th March 2024 and they included Hearing screening and diagnosis, ENT services, Speech Therapy and Hearing Health Promotion services.
A 10 km Walk event was held on 3 march 20204 in collaboration with various community and civic organisations to raise awareness on ear and hearing care, prevention of deafness and hearing loss. Different media platforms including the Health,Botswana Facebook page were used to inform and educate the public on different issues of Hearing.
The World Hearing Day commemoration was held on the 8th March 20204 in Maun(Ngami DHMT) and the Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary Professor Oatlhokwa Nkomazana was the guest of honor.
