Virtual Advocacy Week for World Hearing Day

Primary site: AMR – United States of America
Additional site(s):

In honor of World Hearing Day, Marywood University’s NSSLHA chapter hosted a week long virtual advocacy event spreading awareness for different issues within audiology. Every day for one week, we posted a combination of WHO promotional material in addition to infographics from ASHA and each day had its own theme. We coordinated the theme of some days to reflect an issue that ASHA is currently taking action on. In order to engage our local legislators, we sent emails of varying topics related to audiology and speech-language pathology. Across our social media platforms, we had a ton of engagement throughout the week, and many students, faculty members, and community members sent emails to legislators.
