A free prophylactic campaign to address the issue of hearing disorders amongst children, adolescents and adults in North-Eastern Bulgaria

Hearing loss continues to be one of the health issues in our country, affecting children, adolescents and adults. The onset of some hearing disorders has decreased in age. Affected hearing and vestibular system problems often rise together, impacting the life.
Our team has been working on the mentioned idea for more than 5 years and continues, aiming to gain more attention by the society and to raise awareness. We continue with patients’ examinations in hard-to-reach areas of the country and regular free prophylactic campaigns at least twice a year. Free prophylactic check-ups were done in the town of Provadia on 29.02.2024.
The free Prophylactic hearing examinations of pediatric and adult from North-Eastern of Bulgaria this year were held in the period 26.02 – 07.03.2024, after booking a free check-up appointment in advance, in the Sector “Audio-vestibular medicine”, University medical and dental center, Medical University – Varna.
