The webinar “Let’s make ear and hearing care a reality for all” was organized on March 5. The following topics were presented and discussed: Models of neonatal audiological screening: International recommendations, Audiological screening of school age children: Russian and international experience, Common hereditary forms of congenital hearing loss, Care of hearing loss in adults: from early detection to intervention, Hearing loss: Social stereotypes. More than 100 specialists and parents participated in the Webinar. On March 3 in the frame of the Russian Congress of Pediatricians the section of Global burden of hearing loss was organized.
The hearing screening in 5 schools in Moscow was performed, 85 children were screened, in 13 hearing problems were detected. Those who failed screening were sent to follow-up diagnostics.
