“360’s Ear and Hearing Caravan”

Development 360 implemented the following activities during the caravan period:
– Eight health talks in faith-based institutions on the importance of ear and hearing care.
– 3 Policy engagements with senior government decision makers that included the city mayor and the council, the health office and the ministry of education to improve delivery of ear and hearing care in the city.
– 3 mass community theatre awareness performances with skits, dances, open discussions and literature distribution on myths and misconceptions including hearing care.
– A radio program on World Hearing Day which featured Development 360 director, an ENT expert and audiologist from the city’s largest teaching hospital.
– 13 community dialogues with children, youth and women’s groups.
– Person on the street encounters reinforced with literature distribution.
– 2 puppet shows targeting children in two schools.
– Six school-based mass awareness engagements targeting pupils in grades 3 to 12.
