The day was celebrated by the Team of NPPCD, Punjab. Posters (inPunjabi) were launched by the Director, Health and Family Welfare, Punjab. The pamphlets were designed with information of causes,signs, do’s don’ts,etc. The badges with QR Code were made, diaries & pens (embossed) with information of WHO was incorporated in the diaries, given to the Dignitaries of the State Health Department. The State team visited industries having recreational noise and created awareness about Noise Induced Hearing loss and distributed ear plugs to be used for safe guarding their hearing. A survey was conducted in the Directorate on myths/realities related to ear and hearing issues among 300 employees and later a talk in the office premises, busting all myths. The day was celebrated by all districts of Punjab. Various activities were conducted which are Free camps, Lectures in schools, Rallys, IEC activities in OPDS, pamphlet circulation, nukkad natak, Rangoli competitions etc.
