We arranged two high-profile events to mark World Hearing Day in 2024.
The first was a national Indigenous Peoples Summit to address critical issues in Healthcare Access and Delivery for Indigenous communities. It was led by and involved health and community leaders from Aboriginal communities throughout the nation. It was attended by senior government officers responsible for Hearing Care services and for Indigenous populations.

A second event was Professor Kelvin Kong’s presentation to an audience at the nation’s Parliament House. Prof Kong is Australia’s first indigenous ENT surgeon and an inspiring advocate for hearing health.
His address was introduced by the Australian Government Minister for Health and attended by a dozen of the country’s senior politicians and bureaucrats.
