Description: The event, “To hear for life, listen with care- let us make our listening safe,” was a successful collaboration between the Office of Medical Services and the Office of Sustainability for the Music club. The program consisted of a live session educating attendees about hearing loss, safe listening habits, and how to interact effectively with those who have hearing impairments, promoting diversity and inclusion. This session was followed by a group discussion where students voiced their concerns about hearing-related issues. Tools like the ‘hearWHO’ and other smartphone apps for sound intensity measurement were showcased. The event had a significant online reach, engaging thousands on social media.
