Title: Screening, Ear Examination, Ear Cleaning, and Counseling about Presbycussion in the Elderly and Hearing Loss in Children
Description: Our group organized a series of healthcare activities in recognition of World Hearing Day. Held in two sessions– on February 28 and March 1, 2023– these activities featured ENT screenings, ear examinations and cleanings, and counseling on presbycusis in the elderly and hearing loss in children. The data gathered from these sessions revealed the attendance of 50 elderly individuals and 60 toddlers. Among the toddlers, four were referred for chronic ear infections, and 15 required earwax removal. Conversely, two elderly individuals were referred due to hearing loss.
