Title: Hearing Screening for Children and Traffic Police
Description: On March 3, 2022, a hearing screening program took place at Neric Academy and the Traffic Police Headquarters in Kathmandu, Nepal. At the academy, 300 students underwent testing, with one being fitted with bilateral hearing aids. An awareness program was also conducted. Notably, a diagnostic audiometer and an otoscope were utilized during the tests. At the Traffic Police Headquarters, 70 officials were assessed for their hearing abilities and were provided with ear protective devices. The results revealed that 20% of the tested traffic police officials had some hearing difficulties. These findings were subsequently broadcast on the traffic radio station.
