On March 12, 2023, Komda PGPKT Surabaya in East Java, Indonesia, conducted a World Hearing Day event centered on hearing loss, particularly in children and infants. This was supported by numerous institutions including TOA Jalapuspa, Perhati-KL East Java, Dr. Ramelan Naval Hospital, Hangtuah University medical faculty, Dr. Soetomo General Hospital, Airlangga University medical faculty, Dr. Soewandhi General Hospital, Widya Mandala Catholic University medical faculty, Haji Surabaya General Hospital, and the Rotary Club of Surabaya. The event took place at Car Free Day, located in Bungkul Park in Surabaya.
