Description: For World Hearing Day 2023, Laikipia County’s two main hospitals held special events. Nanyuki Teaching and Referral Hospital carried out screenings for ear conditions for 100 clients, under the leadership of one of their resident ENT surgeons. Concurrently, Nyahururu County Referral Hospital conducted educational health talks on ear and hearing care for patients in the clinic waiting bays and a continuing medical education event for 60 staff members. Additionally, two county heads were involved in training other health workers, utilizing a specific manual for guidance.
