Title: Prevention in older adults living in a public elderly adults residency

On World Hearing Day, March 3, 2023, a collaborative initiative was conducted between the Secretary of Health of the Municipality of Córdoba and the Department of Otolaryngology of Sanatorium Allende. The aim was to raise awareness and visibility of hearing loss as a prevalent health issue, particularly among older adults. An educational session was organized at Hogar Padre La Monaca, where 40 elderly individuals underwent hearing examinations. These included evaluations based on questionnaires and otoacoustic emissions. Central to the presentation was the significant correlation between hearing loss and cognitive decline.
