Title: Ear and Hearing Care for All
Description: On World Hearing Day 2023, the ENT department of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Nagpur, conducted several activities. A hearing screening camp was held at Besa’s Old Age Home on March 18, 2023. They also trained medical students in the use of the hearWHO app for hearing screening on February 18, 2023, providing 20 third-year MBBS students with practical experience in checking patients’ hearing levels using this app. An online CME on deafness awareness was organized for medical officers and healthcare workers in Nagpur District on March 2, 2023. Furthermore, 29 hearing-impaired individuals were provided with free hearing aids on March 3, 2023. Lastly, a public awareness campaign was conducted using the WHO’s information, education, and communication (IEC)” material through an audio-visual display at the outpatient department of AIIMS Nagpur, which was exhibited in the patient waiting areas.
