Title: World Hearing Day Event
Description: The Audiology Committee recently conducted a three-part webinar series that focused on accessibility and equity for individuals with hearing challenges in remote areas. The series included presentations from leading academics from around the world. Prof. King Chung from Northern Illinois University, USA, and Prof. De Wet Swanepoel from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, both highlighted the importance of comprehensive ear and hearing care. Meanwhile, Prof. Katrin Neumann from Westphalian Wilheim University, Germany, discussed the treatment of developmental language disorders in children with hearing loss. Lastly, Prof. Wahab Owolawi from King Saud University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, shared insights on training and services in Nigeria. The insightful talks can be accessed on their YouTube channel.
