On March 3, 2023, the “Hearing Impairment Resource Pack” was launched at the University of Ghana’s Centre’s Conference Hall. This event, attended by media personalities, members of the deaf community, educators working in deaf schools, and a representative from the Ghana Health Service, aimed to raise awareness about deafness and provide crucial information on ear care. The resource pack includes details of various organizations, schools, and health facilities in Ghana that offer supportive services to the deaf community. Additionally, significant research findings from genetic studies on hearing impairment conducted by our organization were discussed, and perspectives on the 2023 World Hearing Day theme were shared.
