Title: Making Ear and Hearing Care a Reality for All!!
Description: For World Hearing Day 2023, the Composite Regional Centre for Skill Development, Rehabilitation, and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (CRC), Nagpur held a five-day training session for teachers and special educators, emphasizing the importance of hearing and hearing screening procedures. To raise awareness about proper hearing care, a rally was held on March 3rd, where World Health Organization materials were distributed to the public. This included information on the dos and don’ts of hearing care, as well as training on the use of the HearWHO app and hearing assessments. Training was provided to various medical professionals including those from the Directorate of Medical Education and Research, primary healthcare providers, medical officers, ENT specialists, and audiologists working in government hospitals across the state of Maharashtra, India. This also extended to doctors and audiologists involved in the National Deafness Prevention Project.
