Title: World Hearing day awareness program
Description: On March 7th, 2023, A’s Seeb Polyclinic in Muscat, Oman, under the guidance of the Ministry of Health, hosted a ‘World Hearing Day Awareness Program.’ The event was held in the clinic’s main entrance hall and aimed to educate a diverse audience, including policy makers, people of all ages, and health care workers, on ear care and management. The World Health Organisation supported the event by providing educational materials, such as posters, flyers, brochures and videos, which were presented by ENT specialists and audiologists. Over 100 people attended the event, where hearing tests were conducted based on a ‘Hearing Health Questionnaire’ survey. The event also featured participation from two hearing aid centres, Super Quality and Al Amal, who exhibited a variety of hearing aids and ear plugs. Throughout the day, otoscopic examinations and counselling were provided by otologists and audiologists.
