Title: 2023 World Hearing Day “Ear and hearing care for all! Let’s make it a reality”
Description: In recognition of World Hearing Day, our team organized a nultitude of community activities at various locations, including community centers and educational institutions. Our goal was to raise awareness about the impact of loud noises on hearing and the importance of ear protection, particularly among frequent mobile phone users. A safety feature for headphones on iPhones and a media volume limiter for Android devices were introduced and an application for measuring noise levels using mobile phones was also demonstrated. A short educational video on the topic was also screened by participants. Additionally, complimentary hearing screenings were orchestrated within the community and trials for hearing aids were provided for seniors in the area. The focus was to educate and offer solutions for better hearing health.
