Title: Free ear and hearing clinic for children on World Hearing Day
Description: On World Hearing Day, March 3, 2023, the otolaryngology department at Shenzhen Children’s Hospital offered free consultations to 103 parents and children. Several prominent physicians led the services, which included hearing screenings, testing for genetic causes of hearing loss, hearing rehabilitation, hearing aid fittings, as well as discussions of cochlear implantation and neonatal ear deformities. Additionally, the team distributed 210 educational booklets on ear protection. An ear knowledge quiz was also held, with 85 parents and children participating and receiving small gifts. This initiative not only provided necessary medical aid but also fostered awareness about ear care and protection.
