Title: Ear and Hearing Care Training and Advocacy at Grassroots and Governmental Levels
Description: The Western Cape province conducted an awareness campaign involving training for 43 healthcare practitioners, the distribution of health posters across 11 healthcare facilities, and awareness training for 37 health managers. Additionally, 681 students and 20 teachers at a primary school in the area received awareness training, with 700 flyers distributed amongst them. In the Gauteng province, a media campaign reached approximately 450,000 people through a television show and radio broadcasts, including podcasts and social media. An awareness training event also reached 20 adults working with preschool children. In total, the in-person awareness trainings reached 801 individuals, 722 people received training materials, and approximately 450,000 people were reached via our media campaign.
